Colombo, October 28 The All Share Price Index (ASPI) of the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) closed at 22,689.22 points today (28), posting a decline of 99.57 points, or 0.44%, as selling pressure weighed on the broader market.

The day’s turnover amounted to Rs. 6.19 billion, indicating moderate trading activity with mixed investor sentiment. Analysts suggest that the market experienced mild profit-taking in several large-cap counters following recent gains.

The S&P SL20 Index also edged lower in tandem with the broader market, reflecting a cautious approach from both retail and institutional investors.
